Most industrial machinery have a ±10% supply tolerance.

I purchased an induction heating machine requiring 3 phase 440 volts.
I have 600 volt supply in the shop which normally measures 575 volts.
A pre-used transformer of 600 volt to 480 volt is avalable at a reasonable price.
Any suggestions if this transformer can be used for this machine?
As per the transformer ratio, from 575 volt I will get 460 volts.
From 440 volts it is 4.5% higher.
Is it permissible to apply 4.5% higher voltage to the machine?

Thanks Al.
Looking at some listings, for some transformers it is mentioned DELTA for primary vopltage.
Is there specific application for transformers with Delta or Star connected primary windings?
RRossey
Not many are star primary, if a neutral is needed than you would need a star secondary.
Otherwise the common configuration is Delta/Star.
