    Default Crappy Limit Switches!

I have been getting way to many false limit switch alarms. I have had this issue before and it's the limit switch's fail due to vibration. I need to replace them but wondering if anybody can suggest a high quality limit and where to buy?

Many disagree with this, but my feeling is that some micro-switches can resonate if you hit their critical frequency. Has happened to me too.
A more heavily spring-loaded switch will often solve the prblem.

    Rodger,
I agree with you on the possible Resonate issue. I'm now looking for feedback on a BRAND with heavy spring load. Can anybody steer me in the right direction

if the issue isnt electrical noise, i recomend the TM-1704 or XZ-15GD-B off ebay. They are actual switches, not printer micro switches

The old adage, if you want the best, you have to pay for it, I always look out for Honeywell hermetically sealed limit sw on ebay, 914CE2 style, not cheap, but the best.

    Hey Jahnj0584,
thanks for the feedback. You hit the nail on the head!!! Since I posted this thread I have made a major upgrade to a spindle from a router. My cable I used for the router was NOT shielded in any way. Since I did proper research on the Spindle/VFD thread my new spindle cable is not only shielded but includes a Drainer wire to common Star point ground. Since I had a HUGE backlog of jobs the new spindle has in excess of 25 hours run time with not ONE false trip. It all comes down sometimes to the basics. Dealing with Noise can not be taken lightly!

Thanks to everybody for the help and looks like I'm back in business.
