Greetings All,

I have a maintenance challenge I would appreciate some knowledgeable feedback for.

We have a mid-80's Leblond "Count 15" cnc turning center. (Actually it's a re-badged
Gildemeister machine.)

The Z-axis aluminum servo motor pulley is completely worn-out generating significant
lost motion.

Part availability for the machine is grim at best. Leblond doesn't support the machine
and IF parts were available from Gildemeister, I'd have to go through my local Mori / DMG
distributor which would be the metaphorical equivalent of a violent sexual assault.($$$)

So I purchased a replacement pulley (8M-20-30 HTD) that has a 1/2" hole through. My
Fanuc motor shaft is a 1/10 taper with a 5mm tapered keyway. I hoped to find a bushing
I could fit to the pulley bore but this has been futile.

So I turned the worn-out pulley to 1.500 " to save the i.d. profile and "sweat" (interference
fit) to the new pulley bored undersize.

I think this will work but would appreciate any feedback. Maybe someone knows a source
for 1/10, keyed taper-lock bushing or what the ideal interference fit should be.

Thanks,
