| We got a new computer and are trying to install MadCam on it but are getting the following error related to the video card, then the following errors (see below or the attached pdf with screen shots): Error 1: '1 NVIDIA 188' is not a valid integer value click ok... Error 2: An invalid argument was encountered. click ok several times to same error... Error 3: Developer Message: CRhinoUiDockBar: ockBarID() must be overriddenthis error will not go away and we must kill Rhino and restart without loading MadCam. Rhino runs fine as long as we don't try and load MadCam. Windows XP SP3, Rhino 4 SR7, MadCam 4.2 and my video card is an NVIDIA GeForce 9600MGT 512MB. I sent Joakim an e-mail but thought maybe one of you have experienced this as well??? |

I promise I'm not crazy, obsessive maybe, but not crazy (yet). I was able to resolve this with quite some effort by upgrading the video firmware / drivers and modifying the inf file. I don't know exactly what the problem was but it now works and that's all I'm concerned about for now. Thanks to all who pondered my problem. Regards, Jason |

| I have a similar problem with madCAM 4.2 (and also 4.1) but I'm not able to solve it. I've already reported the problem to Joakim. Jawaba, could you please post some tips? I run Rhino 4.0 SR7 on Win7 (64bit), with GeForce 8600M GT (newest driver from 2010-01-05). Mikolaj Update: I just found out that DOWN-grading the NVIDIA driver (to v. 7.15.11.7756 from 2009-01-08) eliminates the problem with madCAM. I suppose it's not the best solution - but still a solution. Last edited by mikolaj; 03-02-2010 at 04:54 PM. Reason: update |

| I'm not sure what the correct drivers would be for you. I do think mine was Open GL related and updating my drivers corrected it. You may contact Nvidia and see if they have any beta drivers or maybe an older driver??? It's a tough situation because you don't want to mess your machine up trying to get one app to work. Best of luck. Regards, Jason |
