Default Need paralle to Z moves

    Hi. all

This is SUH from South Korea.
I'm a newbie and I downloaded newest MADCAM and Exploring here and there.

    I have a question.
Is there any option for paralle to Z moves(ONLY) in MADCAM ?

Of course I know there is a Simultaneous 5-axis planar finishing option.

but If I have to make a toolpath for scanned STL files with bumpy skins.
Path moves up and down awfully

Is there any solution for this issue?
Some remaining undercut will be OK.

Set machine angle limits is the key for this?
But this button never works and I don't know why.
    Please anyone let me know.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Please clarify if you want to achieve this on a three axis machine or a five axis.
Your B option is an indexed tool path, you can make that in a three axis machine with an indexing head, or tilt the object instead. In Rhino, rotate the model 90 degrees and generate the tool path, rotate back with the tool path and post process.

    Hi. Svenakela

It's good to hear you and thanks a lot
I expect the whole path creation of the model and
your suggestion seems like a index method.

But It's a breakthrough to me.

I don't know the exact way of full creation path yet.
I'll keep trying and many thanks you again.
