It is possible to generate both 3D and 2,5D toolpaths in madCAM. This is the toolpath functions included in madCAM.

Automatic 3D functions:
Roughing
Z-level finishing (Waterline)
Planar finishing
Pencil tracing

3D Curve milling:
Along curves
Project Curves
Between two curves
From boundary curves

2,5D Functions:
Profiling
Pocketing
Facing
Drilling

Hi Joakim,

Good to see you come up for air! You probably need to tell folks that the software is capable of much more than it first seems. I.E., 4th axis indexing within Rhino, though not automatic it is painless!

I don't know if you have seen the video tutorials Robert from Offbroadway has been doing and putting here at the zone and on the users grorp....but they're nice.
