    cutting problem

    we have a 3 axis cnc for the hobby industry, we cut a 2" square and on the y axis it only cuts 1 7/8" we can not figure out why its off. we have triple checked all mechanical components.

    How did you program the path?
    what is your cutter diameter?
    did you compensate diameter?
    are you using G41 or G42?
    seems like diameter compensation error.

    I know that this is probably way too late, but your "Y" axis Parameters in your machine may be off. If you have a manual for the machine, look into recalibrating the axis.
