PLEASE HELP

First off, i wanted to start by apologizing for not being on here in quite some time! I am a Machinist Student @ Tennessee Technology Center in Murfreesboro. I just started my CNC training, i am writing a program on a HAAS simulator to transfer over to the HAAS Lathe. It keeps throwing a 619 stroke exceeds start position alarm. I have no idea what this means or how to fix it here is a copy of my program please review and comment on any errs i have made. especially how to fix the above mentioned problem. thank you for your time and concern. I would send a copy of the print to make it easier yet i cant scan it so i apologize. please help if you still can. in the mean time i will try to scan and upload a copy of the print.

Not familiar with HAAS, but I think when you call out the tool ie: T101. Shouldn't it be T0101, if you calling out tool #1 offset #1? I'm pretty sure you have called out Tool #10 offset #1.

If this isn't it, I'll look further.

Good luck,

Roger

i believe t101 is tool 1 offset 1 on the haas, i have written a few programs before yet they were more simplistic than this one, and t101 always called up the correct tool and offset. i think where i am running into problems is calling up two g71's in the same sequance or something so i am going to try using a false tool change in the program to see if it'll run. at least until i am more familiar with running g71 and g70 and the guidelines that apply. thank you for your input if you find anything else please post back

Can you single block through the program and determine where the error is occurring? This will help find the error.

Not sure on Haas, but my hardinge, with 0T control, has 2 G71 lines. You might check that.

i have ran it through on single block and it throws the alarm on my g71 block. i had wrote this program and had it running perfect that is till i set up on the machine and ran it i then came to realize that my tool one was too big to cut the second g03 radius because of the undercut on the back side my cutter comp was digging into the material. so then i moved that radius into the first tool change, ran it and discovered that my cutter was also too big to form the g02 radius, so i also moved that into my first tool change. and decided to run a g71 to cut the contour minus the radius's. Now we get to where i am stumped because after doin so i have 2 g71 in the same sequence and for some reason it throws the 619 alarm. so i am going back through and re writing the program to where on my tool change i cut all radii and undercuts in the same g71. now the trick i devised to just go ahead and switch my tool 1 with tool 2 in the program and also run tool 2 on the tool change did work and ran successfully however when i submit my part to nims i also have to submit the program i wrote and they will not be happy that i incorperated a false tool change so i must re write that and take it out.
