Internal helix possibilities

I have this part with an internal helical grove with holes at the intersections of the helices.

I figured that the lathe guys could take care of this no prob as we have a Mori Seki with live tooling but they tell me it's not possible.

Thoughts? If so, can I get some programming insight to point them in the right direction?

I have attached a portion of the drawing for reference.

Note: If this type of work is easy for you, I would like to hear from you for possible position.
