    Default RUNNING A TCT BIT BEYOND IT'S RECOMMENDED RPM again.

    Sorry that I have to ask this question again because I did not state that I am cutting wood and not metal.

    What are the consequences of running a TCT bit at a higher RPM that recommended?

    Does a higher RPM make the tool blunt faster?

    What is "work-hardening"?

    Your support much appreciated.

    Well, you aren't going to get work-hardening on WOOD! So forget that one.

    If the cutter burns the timber, you are either spinning too fast OR feeding too slow.

    Very high RPM might help an HSS tool get blunt, but should not affect carbide.

    The tips could break off or come loose and become very high speed projectiles.
