Motor for the main drive shaft

I'm working on the project for my new CNC machine. My idea is 500mm X, 300mm Y and 250 or 300mm Z. As I'd like to have it for iron machining also, it need also a stronger motor for the main drive shaft. I intend to use BT30 drive shaft, driven by a motor and belt. What kind of motor are you suggesting? Brushless DC motor or Servo motor? My idea is a 1,5 or 2kW motor 3000 to 4000 rpm.
