Default External Threading on Old Fanuc

We have a 1994 Ameri-Seiki cnc that we want to turn OD threads on for the first time. It has a Fanuc 0TA control, which means the formatting is somewhat different than a standard Fanuc. I grabbed an old Mike Lynch book from the 90’s and coded the thread cycle by the book, but the machine hangs up just before the G76 line. Here is the code we tried for a M24 x 2 external thread:

    G20 G40
    T0404
    G97 S1400 M3
    G0 X1.2 Z.1 M8
    G76 P000060 Q.005 R.0002
    G99 G76 X.867 Z-1.5 P0390 Q.0080 F.0787
    G0 X6. Z6.
    M30

Are there any old-timers that can figure out why this cycle does not work?

Default Re: External Threading on Old Fanuc

I already answered my question by looking at samples online. My text book was wrong as it showed decimal points in the Q values. Took out the decimal points and the cycle ran fine.
