Inverted mounted linear guides

New and looking for info. What does everyone think of mounting a gantry that weigh approx 500 lbs to Hiwin linear guide rails?

Linear guides have same capacity in four directions, up, down, left, right. So if you dimension properly it doesnt matter if you hang weit or lean it on guides.

No necessarily, it depends on the model of Hiwin rail. They make many types, each with different load characteristics. Same with the others manufacturers of profile linear rails, THK, iko, nsk, ina etc. You can't assume they are 4 way equal load type. Check the manufacturer datasheet to verify.

I agree, definitely check datasheet, but I didnt encounter different type, so I didnt even think that different types exists (Im not an expert)
