I have a machine that is currently setup with Windows XP. I have a new computer that has windows XP 64 bit installed will this run Mach 3 or can I convert the computer over to Windows 7 32 or 64 bit? I am looking at upgrading and want to what platform Mach 3 will work best on. Thanks in advance for your help. Rich |

| Hi, As the text on the download page at Machsupport says you must use a 32bit system if you're going to use the parallel-port driver. As far as I know it will work on Win7 32 bit but you need to apply the same register tweak as for Vista, there's details about it on the download page at Machsupport.com I'm however running it in simulation-mode (no driver installed) on Windows7 64bit and that works. So if you're using an external motion engine or motion controler, like the Smoothstepper my guess is that it'll work on the 64bit systems as well. /Henrik. |
