How to pause and resume tool

I have built a wire EDM and would like Mach3 to run the machine.

I need to pause the wire (tool) advance and then resume from and external contact input signal.

Turbocnc does this by hitting the ESC key then Y/N to resume the tool advance. I heard Mach3 could do this from an external contact as an input.

A friend of mine thinks I need to use the THC function.

My wire EDM has a circuit to monitor the spark voltage. When the spark voltage is high the wire can advance. When the spark voltage drops to a preset point the advance needs pause until the spark voltage rises again and the wire advance resumes.

I heard Mach3 could do this.
