I have just got my router changed over to Mach3 and Gecko drives, and notice that when I load a g-code program into Mach3, I get a slight movement in one or more axis on the machine. The machine will also start moving contiuously if I minimize Mach3 and try to open another program in Windows. I can avoid this by disabling the charge pump temporarily in Config, but would prefer not to have to do this every time I load a program. I have Mach3 set up on a milling machine with Xylotex drivers, and have never had this problem. What is causing it, and what do I need to do to prevent it? |

| Mach3 needs to control the entire computer. You should not even have other applications ON the computer, let alone try to run them while using Mach3. It's also possible that you are getting crosstalk between your wiring. Is your Home/limit switch wiring shielded? CR.

| If Mach'3 isn't telling it to move, and it's moving, then you have an electrical issue. The only way the motors can move is if they are getting step signals. If Mach3 is not sending them, then you must have electrical noise. It's very odd that it happens when you open another program, though. And also that it moves when you load g-code. I don't think this has anything to do with Mach3. You should post this to the Mach support Yahoo group.
