Hello, When I click the Post Code button in LazyCam it says the File Posting complete but my .tap file is not in the C:\Mach3\Gcode folder, as set in the Posting Code Options. I cannot understand why this is happening, unless its because its a Google Sketchup DXF file. I have uploaded the DXF and the Lcam file is in the test.zip folder. Any help would be great thanks! |

| I don't use LC, but try this file. It's a cleaned up version with all the things LC doesn't like removed.

| Also, if you haven't done so, try reading the manual. http://www.machsupport.com/forum/ind...c,12078.0.html

I have read the LazyCam manual - can't say I fully understand it all but I would like to know what was wrong with the original file. Tweakie.

| I opened it in AutoCAD and deleted all the 3D stuff. I left the 4 lines that make the border of the part. The 3 circles consisted of 3D polylines. I don't think LazyCAM supports them, so I replaced them with actual circles. You should be able to do this in any CAD program that'll let you use an isometric view. If you only have a top view, it'd be difficult to select the stuff you don't want.

| Isn't it a lot easier to draw a rectangle and 3 circles in AutoCAD, rather than going through all those steps??

| Thanks for the explanation Gerry - much appreciated. Telly, sorry for jumping onto your thread but I just had to know the answer to this one also. (avoiding 3D polylines seems to be the way to go). Tweakie.

Ask away and I'll tell you how to do whatever you want. What version of AutoCAD?
