Hi everyone!... I'm having an issue with Mach 3 and my printer / mouse ports I think. I have a Dell Optiplex and unfortunately, it doesn't have ps2 ports. So the mouse and keyboard are both USB. The computer is used and in it's previous life had a usb printer connected to it. When I am in Mach 3, and turn the gecko unit on, the mouse freezes. Turn the gecko off in Mach 3 and the mouse comes right back online. Can anyone perhaps tell me how to change the settings to get the mouse to work? Thanks, Dave |

| When you say Gecko, do you mean the drives? You might be getting noise on your USB mouse cable.

| Hey Gerry, I have an iron-man mill with a gecko g540 controller. The controller houses the gecko as well as the motor controls. It is attached to my computer via the parallel port. My assumption is that when the gecko is turned on, the signal on the parallel port is conflicting with the interrupt for the usb mouse. |

| Ahhhh, wireless mouse. When I plug my camera into my desktop to transfer pics, my mouse stops working, unless I move the camera as far away as possible.

Hey everyone!... sorry its been a while since I posted, school is finally done for the winter break and I have some time to play with my mill.. I bought the iron man from Alex Burt, and must say, It's a very nice machine. He had some troubles with shipping and a few pieces arrived damaged. After sorting through what was hurt, he was extremely fast in getting the replacement parts to me.. no questions asked. As for the mill itself, it has a steel frame, work area of 24x36x6. The controller is a gecko which is mounted in a custom enclosure. Great machine, nice guy... two thumbs up... |
