    Angry mach 3 problem

    Hi all I am new the cnc thing and am having a problem brining in my dxf files .I just built a 4x8 CamCutcnc table and the control program is mach 3 when i bring in the dxf file it cuts the outside first. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

    Hi ellard, how are you generating the g-code from the dxf?

    mach 3 problem

    I just bring the file in under the export then it walks thru like 4 steps and generates the gcode

    What program are you doing that in? Not Mach, it only opens gcode files, not dxf

    Assuming your using an older version of Mach3 with the .dxf importer, the order of cut is usually the order that the lines were drawn in the CAD program. Since Mach hasn't had that importer for at least 2 years, I really can't remember much about it.

    Your best option would be to buy a CAM program, like SheetCAM or Vectric's Cut2D, which would give you much more control.
