I have had this problem recently. I made tool paths using V Carve V4.6 , for a part I needed, then ran a dry run to see if the setup was correct. Well it was OK and ran well. The next day I wanted to actually cut the parts out and it was different. What I mean is, It cut one perfect, then, as it began to cut the second ,it went astray. It began the cut about 1.00" offset right over the first part, not at position two, where it was the night before. How does the program change like that ,in less than twenty four hours?. I did not, shut down my computer or make any changes, to the path codes. How can it change overnight. Has this happened to you???? What , if anything ,happened that you can explain to me.!!!!! I have always believed I have Mach 3 set up correct and V Carve is not corrupted...... |

| Sounds like your steppers skipped a few steps. Mach3 accelerates steppers using a few slow steps before ramping up to full speed steps. If steppers stall during the full speed portion, they often stay stalled for the rest of the move. They recover during the next move, but they may be inches away from where they need to be. Try slowing down your max speed. On my machine, it also means that it is time to lube the rails and screws. Steve |
