    New Computer Pulsing Too Fast

I would like to first give thanks for the internet and all the nice people out htere willing to help.

Problem: When I run the Mach driver test in the field pulse rate I recieve the message "pulsing too fast."

After a Mach un0install, re-boot, and re-install Mach will load for about 4 seconds then the computer locks up.

    The system is as follows:

    AMD dual core 2.2 MHz
    1 G Ram
    Windows 2000
    PCI Parallel card

Thanks in adavce for the help.

    Rick

    Hi Rick.
Go to Control Panel and remove all mach software. Reload mach. Click on diagnostics. On the right center of the screen, the pulse frequency will display. What does it say?

The diagnostic page pulse frequency starts out at about 99K, but goes to 130K soon after.

I checked the ports and pins page, set the kernal speed to 60K (that was my first observation of the diagnostic page pulse frequency). That was no help. I ran the pulse test again, same result. I change teh pulse rate selection to 100K, no postive effect.

I tried to open Mach again and it locked the computer after about 4 seconds.

Change it to the lowest setting and try again.

Yes, you need to start at 25Khz mode, and get it working there first. The faster modes don't work on all PC's.

    Nope, that's not the problem.

With kernal speed set at 25K in ports and pins I still get the "pulsing too fats" when performing the driver test.

The compuer also locks up when I select a profile that runs on my old computer.

    Hello,

I am new...on this forum. I am 61 years old. Work is behind me and now, I play. I love technics and modelism...I live in Belgium.

I have quiet the same problem as richlandrick:

I installed Mach3. It goes normaly. I must just push "Offline" to Reset.

When I execute "DriverTest.exe", the message is: "Pulsing to fast".

When I increase the rate progressively from 25 to 75khz the message become "Pulsing stable".

I d'nt know why!!! Is Mach3 working good?

I d'nt know, because Mach3 control any machine. I must now make the configuration.

    Best regards

    Roland

I just installed the latest Mach and also found these pulsing too fast or too slow. I gave it more time than usual to do the driver test and everything finally settled back down and a new message System stable or so came up. Then it said system excellent.

I could not get my motors to turn though. I will disable the plugins and see if that helps.

    Hello,

Thank you Lee for your reply.

If a wait a long time (few minutes) during the DriverTest, its stops and a Window with "Mach1 Test Complete" appears.

Did you change something to the "Parameter Control"?

What is happenaing when Mach3 really works but the pulse is to fast?

What do you mean with "turn though"?

I difficult for me to help you because I never connect my motors to Mach3 but I will try soon.

Thank you to keep the contact.

    Bye

    Roland
