Well here goes, I have an x2 sieg mini mill. I have installed a cnc fusion kit #4 to convert to cnc movment. I have Keling inc control box see spec below. I have installed Mach3 demo and config/setup as the video showed on Artsoft web site. When i try to jog X, Y, Z nothing moves just the DRO show like something is moving. I have checked the jog (Tap in Menu) to make sure the % is above 0% and still no movment. I also go to the Mach3 folder and do a driver test it really does not work the first time i do it I do it a second time then it seems all good . After i do this i can't even make the DRO change like it's joging. After i start Mach3 again i get a message in the status bar saying. "Shuttle not detected for type selected" I have no idea what this is, but i can hit the reset and it clears. So if anyone can help that would be great. 3 Axis CNC Stepper Motor Driver Controller Ready to plug and use Brand New 3 Axis Controller for any NEMA23 Stepper motors 1: 3 PCS KL-4030 Bipolar Drivers, 40V, 3.0A 2: 1 PCS 36V/8.8A Power Supply, 115V/230V 3: 1 PC Breakout Board for 6 axis, Isolated signal, With E-Stop, x, y, z limit Switch, Home Switch, wired 4: 1 PCS 12V Fan 5: 12V Power Supply, 110-230VAC 6: 5V Power Supply 110-230VAC Tested with Mach3 Software Stepper motors are KL23H2100-30-4B (3/8” Dual shaft with a flat) 382 oz-in |

| Hi Mike. Welcome to the Zone! Check your printer port--make sure it works with a printer. Make sure you have the port address correct in mach. Check the parallel cable. You must have a straight thru cable. Make sure you have your estop wired correctly and set up in mach. Check your limit switch wiring and setup. CR. |

| Bye a straight through cable does that mean i can't use an extenion on it to make it longer. As for the limit switches i don't have them set up yet, no switched wired to the machine yet. I will try and hook up a printer tomorrow and see what happens. Mike |

| You can check the cable with an ohmeter. Each pin should read through on both ends. CR. |

Follow what CR said first. I had simular problems. For less than $20.00 you can buy a RS232 circuit tester. Has 10 red lights 10 green lignts. It will at least tell you if it is on the computer end or the controller. Mine ended up being the printer port. (I did not have a paralled printer to test it with) You can see the activity in the lights that tell you something is coming out of the computer. I bought a new port for $16.00 and everything was fine. Don't forget to change your configuration to the new port address and remember it is port 2. crs |

| The fact that you have drivertest trouble is the first thing to figure out. What happens the first time you try to run it? The Shuttle message sounds like you have the Shuttle plugin installed. Try going to Config>Plugins and disable it if it's enabled.Make sure in ports and pins, that all the pins are assigned to port 1.

| The first time i try to run the port driver test, i don't thing it work right. Because where all the number values are that very and keep refreshing well they are not there or not doing anything. The second time i do a port driver test all the numbers that would change there values seem to be working and i see a message "excellent signal". But i can see any changes in the DRO values when i try to jog, not that it would jog anyways but at least the DRO would look like they where joging (the motors have never moved yet just the DRO would). As for the all the pin being assigned to Port 1 i have checked that a few times. Mike |

| Your printer port test is not up to par. I would suggest to unstall the mach3 software, delete the directory mach3. reboot thee computer renstall the mach3 again, reboot he computer and run the printer port test again with out anything plugged in to. Then, if still won't work run the printertest.bat. Hope this helps. Good luck BR |

| I think for some reason that my problems are hardware related but i really still don't know. How do i go about checking the port on the back of the computer to see if i have any signal come from the mach3 software. I'm thinking if there a signal coming out of the computer and nothings moving or happening, then the problem would lay in the control box. Would this make scents. I don't know I'm about ready to blow my top .Mike |
