Break Out Board is the interface between the PC parallel port cable and your drivers. As I noted some BOB's are configured to require a charge pump signal but which pin yours may require is what you may need to find out, if it is your problem.

I have had this happen in Mach 3 and on the diagnostics page, the frequency would say "Simulate". The only thing I did was to install the Special Driver.bat from the Mach 3 folder. This didn't fix it, but then I installed the original driver.bat from the same folder and it all worked okay then. Try a driver test in the mach 3 folder as well.

Will like to know if anyone has a table with HobbyCNC board and 205 oz steppers, no limit switches and Estop and send me a copy of their XLM file that is in Mach3. I compare it to my XLM.

Finally had Mach3 configured out right, the problems was that the Ports Pins and Port dir were backward. Had it working for about two hours, went to lunch and when came back, Mach3 was not working, this time DRO's are not moving. Going back to faithfull Mach2...

1 BACKWARDS. It was working. Did something stop the charge pump for safety, like a power glitch, and you weren't there, and you've given up !!

What Mach3 version you are using?...Is that lockdown?...please shares experience with Mach3 Ver 3.xxx...What is the difference between Mach3 Ver 1.84 and Mach3 ver 3.xx?

I am not a quitter...and will like to share the problem I found out. Like I said the problem was the Dir Pins and Port Pins...I uninstalled Mach3 using Control Panel>.Remove programs. When Mach 3 was installed again, had all kind of problems, like the XML file looked just like the previous program , so I decided to go a little further. Even though Mach3 was uninstalled, for some reason, all the files were still in the local C:\ hard disk. After removing Mach3 with Control Panel I went and deleted manually all files from C:\. ...Voila...Mach3 is running like a champ...Thanks to everyone that was involved in the solution....love this forum....!!!!

From what I have read so far not all P.C,s like Mach.Any suggestions on which pc brand to purchase,don,t wann be stuck with a million computers lying around,thanks.
