mach 3 seems like a great piece of software but i'm just concerned as to if it will support my serial controlled controller, which i would also like to convert to usb to future-proof it. I'm reading the user'sguide and in noway does it mention anything other than parallel. any one know better?, maybe some first-hand exerience. thanks |

| Mach can only export step /direction signals from the parallel port. There is an exception. Mach3 plugin architecture allows plugins to be written to support external pulsing engines. Currently supported devices are the Gecko G100 (ethernet), ncPod (USB), SmoothStepper(USB) and certain PCI Galil cards.

| I'm not aware of any that use the serial port.
