| I've double checked everything and the motors and drives are set correctly.2000 steps, 1.8 degree motors. I bought everything as a package from Automation Direct, so I know everything should work together. The scale is set at 1 on the DRO's. When I manual input values, say as inputting 1 inch I'll get only about .200 so I'm about 1/5th what I should be at. My lead screws are 5 TPI. I can set my drives up to 10000 steps. I reset my drives to 1000 steps and no change. |

| In Mach3 motor tuning, when you change anything, you have to hit the big SAVE SETTINGS for AXIS button, for EACH AXIS as you do it. Just hitting the OK button leaves the screen and the changes become lost intentions! This help prevent inadvertent stuffing up of the calibration. Enter the new steps number, Hit the TAB key, then the SAVE key and exit and see if new changes work. You don't need to exit and restart Mach3, but you may need to hit the RED reset button, then see what your calibration looks like. As Khalid says you need the step mode (switches or links on your stepper driver module) set correctly. If you change the steps per unit by a factor of 2, save and the observe what happens. Do one axis at a time so as not to confuse the human side of the equation.
