You'll need to delete the plugin from the plugins folder to get rid of that message. The reason for the message is because the card you have won't work with the plugin. Unless you have a supported Galil card, you'll get an error message.
I have a Galil DMC 1040 card. This card is an ISA bus card.
I have read the plugin will work with PSI or Ethernet cards.
Everytime I start Mach it tells me the galil dll plugin is defective. I downloaded it from the mach support site. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thank you for any help,
Cutmore

Thanks for the reply,
Do you know if there is a plugin that would work with this card?
Or who I would contact to find out?
Thank you,
Cutmore
I would think if you join the official Mach news group on the Mach site you could pose the question.
I would look forward also to see a bit more flexibility as to Galil, I also have several 1000 series cards, but I suspect being ISA (semi obsolete) there will not be much ambition to support these.

It's due to the way Mach was originally written. Art never envisioned where it would be today. The next version of Mach (called Quantum) will be a complete rewrite and may open the door for more options.

If the Mach3 won't work with the Galil DMC-1140 what will? I just bought a older 4 axis router and hopping to get it running.
Does the router have a Galil card in it, if so what was it running on before?
With the older ISA and stand-alone units like the 1500 series, You virtually have to run with the native commands, for the 1500 I use a operator interface like the Maple Systems.
For the DMC-1000 I use an old HMI software that Galil no longer sells called OPINT.
But although you can run any motion configuration you can dream up, the interface is not typical G,M code entry.
Unless you can find someone that wrote an HMI using Visual Basic.

Have anyone ever tried the galil plugin with a DMC1000 card?
I have a DMC1040 and am trying to set that up with Mach3.
I got my card talking to the pc with dmcsmart term, and now am trying to get mach to talk to the Galil. I had this card talking to a different pc which died, through the galil term program & when I loaded Mach it would display defective plugin.
On this pc I loaded the r2.48 version of Mach, the latest drivers from Galil, and now mach loads, I can go to configure plugins. But after I hit O.K. Mach will timeout without finding the Galil.
Can anyone tell me if it sounds like I have a snowball's chance in Hell of this ever working please?
If not could someone direct me on what the best set-up with Mach to run servos would be? The machine is a Bridegport Boss8 SEM servos. I would like to re-use the analog drives if possible.
Thanks for any Help,
Cutmore
Ask on the forum at www.machsupport.com Brian, who wrote the plugin, spends most of his time there.
