problem with my z axis on mach3

can any one tell me why when i start to cut any part my z go all the way down to the last part i set up my g code on lazycam and still go dip i have not cut anyting yet any of my trys are bad i get a dip holl in the part

well after waching some of the videos and i really don't know how it worcks on the mesuments for the lazycam dose it worck on mm or inches what i have to do the ticnes of the matirial is 1/4

Whatever units you draw your part with in your CAD program is what LazyCAM should use. Set the cutting depth to a negative number, -.25 to cut 1/4" deep. Before running the code, set the top of your part to be Z = 0.

Do you have it figured out now? Your drawing is in inches, so you enter the info in LazyCAM in inches

so many Q? not know how to make them i do it in inc or mm i don't know why still doing it i don't know whats wrong with my machine i saw the videos on the mach3 web page and i have all the setups like is supposed to be and still do the same is there a way i can speak to some one and see what i am doing wrong

G0z0

Might check to see if your clearance height is set in negative instead of positive or Vise-versa. Just a guess. looks like you are raipiding to a Z 0 then machining above that.
