Hello, I am new to hobby cnc. I have bought 3 powermax stepper motor and a stepmasternc 3 axis driver board. I have the trial ver of Mach 3 on my computer. I also have a 24v 6amp switching power supply connected. I have set up the driver board by setting the current limiting pots and the percent fast decay pots as the manual tells me to. then i wired the stepper (8 wire) per the bipolar series schematic from the powermax web site. The driver board says the motor should lock up and it does. When I go to use Mach 3 to tune the motor I can seem to get the motor to move. It stays locked up. I checked the enable and on the sop-1 driver I have a dip switch to make the axis enable. In Mach 3 I can successfully reset with a green frame. Do I have something configured wrong or wired wrong? any help would be great. |

Hard to say. Make sure on the ports and pins motor pins page, that you have the correct port assigned to each pin.
