    Question Motors

    Hi! Question is: Why do the motors run forward and reverse with Quick Step software but only forward with Mach?

    What drives are you using, and can you post a screenshot of your ports and pins page?

    Hi. K159 drivers. At this point I am not at the shop but George is. We do not have a photo at this time, will work on that, he doesnt have his camera w/him. We are using pins:2&3,5&6. We are using a demo version, do you think that matters? Thank you.

    It runs both ways in the demo version "Mach2". Weird

    It is really strange that Mach2 & 3 would have different settings, but that is how it goes!! I will go through all the settings again. Thank you so much for your time Gerry, I really, really appreciate it.

    They don't, really. The only motor related things that are really different is the motor tuning, as it's in different units in Mach3. Ports and pins should be the same. Make sure you have the correct port assigned to each pin.
