Hi all Ive been repairing my machine and learning how to after using a "professional" who left it in a worse state than before. My current problem is: No movement of the steppers I have holding torque I have direction signal from mach3 working (if i take the step signal wire to ground by hand it moves 1 step and reveses via mach control) I am using a breakout board and buffers 74hc244 to ensure 5v 0v switching so thats not my issue (all ready gone down that path) Testing with a volt meter i get full 5 and 0 from the direction signal and i get a visible drop from the step signal to about 4.85v although changing the high/low setting in the port setting doesnt seem to change this noticably on my meter i assume as the meter is not able to respond quick enough. Ive tried to change the step settins in the motor tuning tab assuming this is my problem but with little change. My motors are big and have Parker drive cards which are matched nd worked proir to said "professional" we know from the parker data sheet they are 1000 step per rev and are still working via a manual input so they are not the issue. I think its just a tuning issue Suggestions would be appreciated James |
