Can anyone shed light on this?

I am running photovcarve...on roughing out at 30' its fine...never misses a beat but when I change cutter and go to finish (code size increased to nearly 6.5mb from 1.5mb) it almost always skips about a bit and will lose 6mm ish....I've tried slowing things down so that the machine can cope...down to running at 2500mm/min...but when I change the raster angle to zero and just across the work piece it's fine!

All 3 I think...definetly X and Y......changed the raster and it finished the programme without missing a beat...it seems that when its a large file it cant cope..when I change it to the 90' raster angle I can even speed it up.

Try turning off the toolpath display while running.

How do I do that?...also bizarrely....ran a small prog at 90' and that skipped....changed it to 30 and it ran fine...slowed it right down though...I have noticed (will make sure with some tests today) that if I open mach3 with the loader icon it seems to run better than if I open with the mill icon....it might just be me trying to find out why this is happening...will try the toolpath screen thing...can you get back to me on how to do this

There's an on/off button on the diagnostics page I think.

found it and tried it....no difference...however...I stumbled over the operator tab and check config....said my kernel speed was wrong...and lo and behold all my answers (and problems) have been solved...turns out I was at 100hz and not 25000....everything is just superb...all axis buzzing along nicely...even the 4th...thanks for all your help....one very happy cnc'er
