Is the parallel port set to EPP mode in the BIOS?
Hi all,
I really hope someone can help me out here. I have built a 3 axis router, and I am in the process of trying to connect my PC running Mach 3. I downloaded and installed Mach 3 a few days ago. I am still running in demo mode because I haven't installed the license file yet. When I try to reset the control at startup I can't get it to reset. It will only reset if I put it ofline. I ran the drive test application and it passed. I tried connecting to my machine to see if it would work that way. With my machine connected I have the same issue unless I change the e-stop setting to low. I can then clear the reset, but it ignores my estop on the Gecko 540 driver. I know the e-stop on the driver works because with the charge pot off it works fine. I really don't know what I need to do here. I purchased the CNC kit motors, driver, and cables as a package so I know it's correct. The cables all just plug into the drive so I don't think there is a problem with any of the wiring. Any guidence on this would be great.
Thanks,
Brad

Yeah it's set to EPP. I really don't know what going on. The manual says it's because of something connected to the computers port, but it does it with nothing connected. I did everything it said to do during the install.
