I am running Mach 3 on a mill. After having had many problems with false limit switch triggering I have now disconnected the limit switches from mach 3 control and have them now operating at 35 volt DC (power supply voltage) a relay which disconnects the DC power to the BOB on the event of E switch or limit switch operation. This system appears to function well but it would be preferable if in the event of a switch tripping it would also stop Mach 3 at the same time. Could anyone advise me if this is possible and the way to do it? |

| As mentioned before, the debounce feature in Mach3. For my toolsetter probe, I had to throw in a small capacitor to stop the false triggers. I used a 150pf button cap and that stopped the false alarms for the probe. (I didn't need one on the limit switches) Try to keep your wires seperated, and use the shielded cables. Everything grounded properly? |

| I have tried the capaitors. In the Mach 3 installation manual it recommends external limit swicthes for larger machines but does not say how to feed back into Mach 3 to switch it off in the event of limit switch actuation |

| There are a couple of links here like the one below that address the issue often caused by improper grounding and machine bonding. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/phase_...se_issues.html Al.

| Ploughex, As Al_The_Man suggested, use a DPDT relay. Since you are switching off the Breakout Board power attach the control wire for the E-Stop input directly to the parallel port (pin 10 is the default in Mach3). Jeff...
