Delta 20 Problems, not holding memory

Have a Lagunmatic Mill with a Delta 20 controller. If it sits for a couple of hours then everything in memory clears including the settings and zeros. I can feed code via RS232 and the machine runs but if i leave and come back the controller loses its settings. does anyone have any experience with this problem and/or know how to fix it? Have you checked your battery lately?I found mine in the back of the machine.
Had to unplug everything to be able to take the cover off to get to it.
