    How long a cable do you need? Predator Software sells their triple shielded Grizzly Cables (with 5-year warranty) and adapters for your machine and PC for $1.50 a foot. They can probably ship it today if you order early.

    On the other hand, if you want to have one built locally, I recommend a minimum 3-conductor stranded-shielded cable, wired as follows.

    CNC (DB25M)<---------------> PC (DB9F)
    1 <-------------(shield) (no connection)
    2 <-----------------------------> 2
    3 <-----------------------------> 3
    7 <-----------------------------> 5
    4&5 Jumpered (CNC side only)
    6,8,& 20 Jumpered (CNC side only)
