Dead Fanuc 0M Help needed!!!!!!!!!!

Hi!

I have a HUGE problem with a Leblond RMC55 with a Fanuc 0M controller.



I left the machine a few days ago, jogged the machine, turned the power off to the drives with the emergency stop button. Came in last night, the screen was working, turned the drives on with the emergency button, the machine didn&%****17;t power up the drives, there was no fault codes on the screen nothing! So I turned the machine completely off, then turned it back on again, but it didn&%****17;t power up. I can hear the relay in the cabinet when I turn the machine on and off from the controller, but the screen doesn&%****17;t power up, and the drives do not power up.



On the power transformer, I appear to have the correct voltage, at all the taps, except the 200V tap is only reading 120V



The power unit appears to be OK, the voltages all check out, and the green light is ON.



On the drive board the DC voltages all read about 0.4V instead of 5VDC and 15VDC. So it doesn&%****17;t appear to be getting power.



I can&%****17;t find a fuse anywhere, does anybody have any suggestions as to what it could be?



It looks like it might be the transformer, except the power unit is OK, and the DC voltages are correct, Thanks for any help.

Dave, did you have any thunder storms that night?

I had similar problems on my equipment and was just about to call repair, figured I would just wiggle and push all the connectors in the control box before I did, don't know which one did it but it did boot right up and has every since.

Worth a push and a wiggle on yours I would think.

The fuses on the power supply are Green.. see below. If one is blown it will show in the little tell_tail hole on the fuse.

Can't get these at your local auto supply.

Also I would check all the breakers inside the electrical cabinet too.

Dave we didn't have any storms last night or recently (located in So Cal) I will reseat all the boards and connectors though, it's certainly worth a try.

I rechecked the transformer, and I am getting the correct voltages everywhere.

WMS, None of the circuit breakers are tripped.

I found and checked all the fuses, on the power supply, and on the motherboard, they are OK. There is a green LED on the board, it isn't lit.

The main servo board does look like it got very hot at one time, the back of the board is discolored, it looks like the 3 power surge capacitors have got very hot at one time. Also the wires going into the connectors for the servos look like they have got very hot at one time too. Is this a common problem? Also none of the LED's on the servo board are lit either

I think I probably need to start tracing the 5V and 15V from the power supply to the MB and servo board next.
