I use Bob cad v21 with my dynapath10. I use a std rs232 9/25 pin with the send recive pins switched on one end. I set bob cad to 4800bd, 7, even, 1, add <LF> to end of lines, leave handshake at none or special, run a 300 line delay and leave first and last lines blank. I set the controller to load on 4800bd parity on and all others off.

The problem I have is if the program all loads then it sometimes nees an E for the last line to go to Done on the controller otherwise I hit abort and look and the whole prog is usaaly in there. I also dont seem to have my prog format right b/c I cant get the programs to run more than a line without giving me an invalid charicter or format fault. If anyone has experiance with this type of communication on this controller I am all ears.

There are many settings in the Mitsubishi control. There is the device settings and ideally these should be set to match the PC. Generally speaking, the control runs best at 4800 baud, but if you run faster, line delays are required.

If you are having issues still with the Mitsubishi and Predator; give me a call and I can help. Bobcad OEMs the product (Predator Editor) and experts in CAM and still learning the communications issues that come up with all machines.
