Hi there, i dont suppose you could take a photo of your board especially where the GEC Gemini Board is.
im having some trouble with things.
Thanks
Hi everyone,
I've just got hold of a Boxford 125TCL. I plugged it in and could quite happily jog the axes using the manual controls but when I attempted to start the spindle it turned very slowly and after a few seconds I heard a pop and got smoke from the air vents!
Taking a look in the back, a capacitor has gone on the DC motor controller. I know I'm clutching at straws here hoping someone can diagnose the problem without seeing the machine but does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Is it possible that it was just the capacitor that was faulty or is the motor likely to be a dud?
Does anybody have any circuit diagrams for this machine or information on how to test the motor?
Any help is much appreciated.
Roy

Hi SKennedy,
You can find a number of photos on my website here although I haven't put much on there that shows the GEC Gemini board.
I've attached a couple of photos that show the wiring to the connectors on the board. If you want any more then let me know.
If you PM me your email address I can send you a wiring diagram if you want.
