Acramatic 2100/Cincinnati Lancer - Touch screen problem!

Hi! Im having trouble with the touch screen at a Cincinnati Lancer with Acramatic 2100. The mousepointer acts strange and it dont follow the finger on screen. When the controlpanel power is on, there is an red lamp (FAIL) and beeping sound from the card behind the screen. Have checked the connectors but cant see anything wrong.

So far we have indicated that the screen has a short circuit because of the FAIL alarm beeps from the card placed behind the screen. This gives 5 beeps, dwell, 5 beeps...

I'm now interested in disconnecting the touchscreen and use an external mouse. Do anyone know how to disconnect the touchscreen function?
The machine is using Win NT.

try starting the machine in the ipl tool box, there is a touch screen utility that will allow you to do a few things, that i cant remember off the top of my head right now. other than that twelve hundred for a new touch screen, at least thats what it is for an acramatic 950 controller.

i know it's been 7 months sicne your question. I have a Mighty Mustang VMC (Taiwan machine) with the 2100 control, which I love. The touch screen failed 3 yrs ago. Instead of trying a $800-900 card, I ran PS2 extension cords to the back of the machine and started using a trackball mouse and regular computer keyboard. It caused me to be weened off conversational programming, and six months later, I was speaking G code very quickly. In the end I was faster without the touch screen. I did not have to make any software or parameter changes to use the remote mouse and keyboard.

Hi, I need help. My Hard Disk keeps failing. I pay around £350 to get a new hard disk with the correct software for my machine. How can i avoid this. Can someone tell me how i can obtain the software (download) so i can upload it onto a Hard disk myself instead of paying huge amounts.

All i need is guidence on how to do this, and the software, and this will be much appreciated.
