 sump stink tried only one that works | |
I have viewed several questions and answers about sump odor over the years and had a very bad problem in the past. I mean I could hardly stand to walk in the shop after the weekend. So, After trying the pills,that didn't work, having a coolant tech come in with some scary chems that only helped for a while and I didn't like the fear factor of workers hand contact.
Finally I found one product that really worked.
The product is called "S-3" its called a (coolant life extender).. but I found that it removes the odor within a minute of application coolant pump rumming to circulate. I got it in Indianapolis from Advantage Components corp. 317-313-6479 south side of the city.
After trying it of a couple of years it required less and less product to a point were now I haven't used any of over a year in all three Mazak machines now I must pull my sumps out every year to clear out the chip build up on the screens so the conveyors don't get jammed. Yeah I'm happy. It cut my down time way down and I think I use a lot less coolant.  |
