Drip feed or Dnc A Prototrak Mx3

Has anybody here been able to drip feed a prototrak mx3, and if so could you help a brother out and show me the way......thanks

Hi mmurning,

This series of controls does not any method of handshaking for RS232. This makes reliable communication very hit and miss. I would recommend you use a BTR (Behind Tape Reader) for these controls to upload and download into memory.

I have a Prototrak AGE3 about same as MX3 reads mx3 files too , I dnc to it
data bits - 7
parity - even
stop bits -1
handshake - Xon/Xoff
baudrate for DNC can be set by running service code 37 , I run mine at 9600
buadrate for cam files is always 4800, programs you just send to memory of the machine , I hope this helps

forgot you have to have the DNC key to do so, its a $1500.00 option from SWI
You can tell if you have the DNC key by going to program in/out if you see DNC as an option its there.
