Hi, I've got a problem with my Y axis on my Excel 810 after I crashed on the Y axis. I cannot do a zero return without getting an overtravel alarm. When it stops on the limit switch it the machine position shows it to be +.040. It was kind of a hard crash that "tripped" the Y axis (unfortunately, nothing on the table gave way). While searching I found some information about servo couplings slipping in crash. Any thoughts about how to diagnose and repair? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| Try moving all the axes to the center of the strokes, power down the machine (source power as well) turn source power on and while holding the "P" & "Can" buttons turn on the control... Hold the buttons until the machine completely powers up... Now try to zero the machine..

Fantastic! That worked fine. Thanks for the help and the fast reply! Is that method the kind of catch-all (or at least the starting point) for addressing machine reference issues? I seem to have used that in the past , or something similar, but it's been a long time and not something I retained. Anyway, thanks again! |
