Hyundai Hit 8s Problem

We have a 2 Axis lathe that all of a sudden froze up on us. There is an alarm that is permanently fixed to the controller screen that reads,(hard drive controller diagnostics error, floppy disc controller error or no controller present, floppy disc type is set incorrectly or drive error.) The machine has a siemens sinumerik controller. (Award Software Inc. Siemens AG Erlangen (c) 1994, V.570.870.7006.19, serial # 7046-296. We had a repair guy take a look, but he didn't come up with any solutions. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Our budget is a little tight at this time.

Hi Guys

Sorry I cannot be of any help with your problem, but I was hoping you could help me out.

I recently purchased a hit 8 and although it came with a tail stock it was not fitted to the machine, and worse still there are no rail for the tailstock in the machine.

I was hoping one of you would be able to measure what size the tailstock rails are and also what size packing they sit on, or how high they sit above the machine casting.
