Hi guys---Wow this site is Very Interesting lots of info. I fired up my Ultimax 3, max3 multibuss, 1991 machineing center and the message, ---(security device is invalid of has failed)--- showed up on the screen. Can anyone help? Thanks, Sam  |

| has the machine been running?? there is a hardware dongle on the parallel port just inside the electrical cabinet. it is wired to the cpu parallel port via a ribbon cable. if this is disconnected, the control will not boot. because of the age of the machine, you may have a bad dongle. turn the machine power on and let it set for an hour. then reboot the control,, it might go. what version executive are you running? what software options does it have? feel free to call if you need to. 317-696-4448 ron |
