I just got some cam software and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how, where, and what to buy to get my PC and Hurco talking. I have a open male 9 pin port on my PC and a 9 pin female on my machine. Do I need a RS-232 straight threw or crossover cable? Do I need something to protect my hardware from lightning strikes? Whats a i232 cable? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks |

| 060927-0507 EST USA openforbiz: Visit my web site www.beta-a2.com . Our I232 System would be ideal for electrically isolating your computer from the CNC. The features of the I232 are electrical isolation to +/-2000 Volts, elimination of ground electrical noise problems, high baud rate capability, and long cable length at high baud rates. For direct connection of your PC to the Hurco visit the Hurco site www.hurco.com . They have an "Appendix A" page A-5 that shows the required cabling for software handshake. . |
