I had an electric starter go on me and got the replacment today. When I went to put it back in everything went smoothly except I didnt write down where one of the resistors hooked up. Its blue and it has two wies coming out of it. I can see two others of the same kind in the box in different places. If anyone can send me a pic of their box opened or let me know where on the starter it goes, I'd greatly appreciate it. Milos D. |

| In case you are still wondering, a year later: if it came off your starter or contactor, it is not a resistor but an arc suppressor (RC network). It goes across the coil (e.g. from A1 to A2). The control will run without it, but you might get various glitches as the contactor switches off and generates a high-voltage transient (spike). The only blue resistor you might find in the cabinet is the bleed-down resistor across the terminals of the large capacitor in the servo power supply (blue device about the size and shape of a soda can). That resistor is typically a 6.8K, 5W or 10W unit, which serves to discharge the capacitor after power is turned off so there is not a nasty surprise waiting for the would-be service technician. |

About 20 minutes after I posted the message, my boss came in with the wiring diagrams for the machine which he had "no clue" about when I asked him that morning. If there are any other machines that use the Centroid M15 other than the cheapo MSC retrofitted CNC Mill, I'd like to know about it. |
