I'm looking for a bit of help getting around my Window's Xp [SP2] firewall. I can turn it off and handily get my G100 to work, but w/ it on nadda.. I've got my system direct wired to a Linksys router/switch, then into the G100. I know what my IP address of the G100 is as well as the net mask. Can someone tell me how to properly configure a port or whatever so that I can keep the firewall up, yet use the G100? Jerry [Ahhh.. Windows... Don't ya love it ]

| How about using Zone Alarm or another firewall that will let you assign IP address exceptions?

| I don't use Windows Firewall, so didn't know that exceptions tab was there. That should let you do it.

| Gerry, I'd rather not have to buy another program when this one does the trick The router actually block's most issue's and what gets through is usually stopped by the firewall, or my other SpyBot stuff..WMS I've gone in and ok'd the use of Mach 3 as a program, but I still get locked out.. i've gone in and put in my G-Rex Ip [ 192.168.1.103 ] and the net mask, but It still won't let me through.. This networking stuff just isn't my cup of tea.. Jerry

| Jerry, Have you also checked the settings within your router's firewall?
