| There is often a thermal overload on the spindle contactor or on the drive itself, these are manually reset by push button. Al.

| I just got it figured out seconds ago, it is working now. It was the thermal overload. It happened because of switching from forward and reverse. I just ran the program in air. I programmed it to tap 5 holes 1 inch deep at a 10 feed rate. It wasn't cutting anything but air and the spindle overloaded on the 4th hole. Are there any other options around this? What are the auto reversing tap holders like? |

| Normally the drive tuning itself takes care of this, but if it was the Contactor overload, because they are thermal, the O/L warms up on repeated stop starts, if it is the outboard O/L on the contactor, you could increase the setting slightly to avoid nuisance trips. AL.
