I have a program that is too long for machine memory. How do I set it up to spoon feed off p.c. in m.d.i. mode?

Did you ever resolve this? I'm assuming you've realized that you can't send a program to the machine while its in MDI mode?

select mdi mode and type M51(hand shake) and press input.

hey i am a new person to this type of machine and am i need of some help in getting it to work. we are working on it in our engraving class at school and the teacher is going to throw it out unless we can figure out how to make it work.

hi,
if u fanuc controller, all u have to do is to type M50(hand shake ) in mdi and press input key.That's all

am still not understanding. one of the motors does not know when it is supposed and am needing some assistance in working the machine
