fanuc-o ladder

I am trying to dnc to a fanuc-o control. I have been told that I have to enable parameter G127.5 . I have found G127.5 in the ladder but how do I toggle it on????????

AFAIK you set the machine to auto and turn on the DNC enable switch. Look in the ladder rung for G127.5 output and see what is needed to complete the rung. You need a complete highlighted path to get the G127.5 to highlight (turned on).

That is Buffer overflow, what program are you using to download? Make sure it is set to use Xon/xoff are you using a three wire cable, or do you have a fully populated cable?

We had a similiar problem with our fanuc 10M (buffer overflow), the problem was with character delay, we set it to 1 ms and the problem went away. I think the problem is with that the machine sends an XOF signal while the PC still keeps sending some chars which cause the receive buffer overflow.
